If you’re sick of multifocals or reading glasses, the latest generation multifocal contact lenses from NaturalVue might be the solution you’ve been searching for.

These innovative daily disposable contact lenses offer the ultimate in convenience and hygiene with state-of-the-art design. They claim to provide good distance and near vision (and everything in between) and initial reports are that they do this very successfully.

Am I suitable for NaturalVue contact lenses?

If you’ve reached the stage of needing a pair of reading glasses or multifocals, these lenses could be for you. You can be longsighted, shortsighted or have astigmatism. If you have very dry eyes or certain eye diseases such as keratoconus, these lenses are not for you. A conversation with your optometrist will quickly establish if you’re a good candidate.

How do I get them?

NaturalVue are not yet widely available. If you’re suitable, your NaturalVue stockist optometrist will trial these lenses in your eyes. Based on your glasses prescription, they will select a trial pair and carefully check your vision and the fit of the contact lenses. They will show you how to insert and remove the lenses (no need to clean, as you wear a fresh pair every day). Then you will usually be given a few pairs to try at home to make sure you’re happy with them. If they provide good vision at all distances and they feel comfortable – you can then order a 3-month supply.

Are NaturalVue only available in multifocals?

NaturalVue lenses are also designed for younger adults as well as children to slow down or stop myopia from getting worse. Their multifocal design works in a way that allows the eye to relax when viewing close work and this reduces (or even stops) the young eye from becoming more short-sighted over time.

Where to buy NaturalVue contact lenses

Because medical devices have to be supplied by an accredited optometrist, NaturalVue contact lenses are not available online – they have to be tailored to your eyes by an eye-care practitioner.

Are they comfortable?

Because they are disposed of every day, these lenses can afford to be very thin indeed, and this, coupled with their innovative material and design makes them super comfortable.  If you work in an air-conditioned office on a computer all day, you may find you need to use some artificial tears to maintain good comfort.

How much do they cost?

At about $2 each, NaturalVue contact lenses will cost you about the same as a daily coffee. Or you could always do both!
